Qnap Ts-251 Mac Software Manual
Hi all, just a question about my TS-251+ NAS. I'm very new to this and just went through the entire manual but had a couple basic questions that I couldn't figure out. Tried to read through this forum too but I'm not 100% clear.
In the manual and product spec, under 'Files Systems' it says:

Is the 'internal hard drive' mentioned here referring to the 3.5' hard disks that I add to the NAS bays?
And the 'external hard drive' mentioned above refers to an external hard drive that's connected to the NAS via USB for example?
So then, these questions lead me to this question lol:
If the internal hard disks refers to the 3.5' hard disks added to the NAS bays, and this can only be the EXT4 file system (as stated in the above specs, from the manual), will an iMac and a Windows 10 PC both see this NAS and be able to both read and write to it, without having to install any EXT4 drivers/programs on the iMac or Windows 10 PC.
The read & write on both a Mac and Windows PC is really important for me, but I'm just worried that if my 3.5' hard disks can

be formatted in the EXT4 file system, that the Mac and Windows PC's won't play nice, for both read and write. Thanks heaps in advance
